Cosmic Lanterns

Darkness diffused in October moon’s cinder – the star-spangled disc of fire and ice – pirouetting far off nebulae – a wind diverging haze of galaxies – matter’s swathes sunk in pores of space – my gaze floating with constellations – to watch the lightning gestures — on the face of a forgotten tribe’s god — to stir my earthly soul — transcending light years — to connect with infinite

The Sun retired below horizon – giving way to early moonrise — woolly rays spooling on gray glades – yawning cobalt blue roofs – dappling the trees soon to abduct greens – bathing the foggy, addled silhouettes – of owlets’ inaudible cackle – in a wedge of ghostly coppice – of nightjar’s resonating blurb – splashing intensity of the quiet

A new season sieving together darkness and light — spraying night jasmine’s frosty petals – tinged in fragrant saffron petioles — kissing azure convexities of soil’s brocade – thawing weary eyes to dreamy dew point – more white floral perfumes sanctifying silence — blissful and tranquil autumnal respite — kaleidoscopic festoons — flickering — fuming — radiating glassy vibes

In night’s aqueous, achromatic hollows – past September juicy faded yellows – fermented to imbue the atmospheric scents – exuberant October blowing up northern lights – moon’s wavelength vivified to glow turbulent amber – eclipsed to its fullest – robbed off its sheen — a cosmic connotation beyond waxing waning s— wheeled by rhythm of time

From a scape bedecked with bronze gold leaves – and nude decolorised boughs – and rocks displaying snowy feathers – charmed by array of cosmic lanterns – immersed in charcoal sky’s quiescence – I dream of a formless meteor – divine dumpling of gases and plasma – buoyant in stillness of night – brewing my being to condense and rise – up above the chasm of death and life.
